Places to go, People to see in Cali

So we got settled in our amazing hotel, The Historic Mayfair. It was located in the financial district of L.A, right the middle of the city. It was also next to, and in some cases walking distance, to the following attractions: LA Convention Center, Staples Center, Farmers Market,
Santa Monica, Venice Beach, Dodger Stadium, Hollywood, Beverly Hills, Little Tokyo, and Universal Studios. It was also two blocks up from the metro which allowed easy access to the  whole city. So i know what you're thinking; I bet it was so expensive. Um helloooo. Remember we are college students!? It was very affordable (about $70 a night) Now I know what else you're thinking; I bet the rooms were really gross then. Actually, NO! They were awesome as well. In a big city like L.A. there's so much competition for hotels and some ones that aren't 5 star can get ignored and they end up offering lower prices. Again, I always use www.hotels.com My favorite part was we could see the infamous HOLLYWOOD sign from our hotel. Here is the picture:

So the first full day in L.A. went went to Disneyland and California Adventure.
Advice: DO NOT BUY IT FROM THE PARK ITSELF.
We found our tickets on Ebay. They were for both Disneyland AND California Adventure (right across from eachother) and were FAST PASSES. I got them for $130 each which is way cheap compared to the actual price. We simply borrowed the season pass from a vendor then returned them at the end of the day. It was also very convenient that the two parks were right across from eachother.

Next stop, Pasadena and the Rosebowl!
