Cross Country trip AL to CA
Sooo I wake up and we're driving into Beautiful CALI - FORN- I - A. Celebrities, mansions, and ragin nightlife is what I was thinking. And for the most part we did see that but Cali is actually pretty normal. Yea, if you hang out in all the right places at the right times you'll see that kind of stuff but it's just another large city to me.
I probably have this out look on it because I live right outside of the Washington DC area and I'm use to the hustle and bustle of city life, wide variety of professional sports, and famous and important people. Go me! :P
So a little bit about who I'm with, why I'm here, etc. My boyfriend, our good friend, a random acquaintance and I all wanted to go on this big adventure to see our team WIN the national title. We all are college students and most definitely on a budget! Some how we managed to come home with some money still in our pockets! Here's how:
1. We rented a car.
This helped because we didn't have to put alll those miles on any of our cars.
We took turns paying gas and we each ended up spending under $130 each. Not bad for literally driving across the country.
2. www.hotels.com
I always use this site when I travel. Super easy and you see the price upfront, get reviews, milage to attractions, AND its discounted.
3. Ebay www.ebay.com
Get tickets for ANY event on ebay. We got our disney tickets (my boyfriend and I went..cute!), universal studio tickets (one person in our group went), and national championship tickets, of course!
P.S. Craiglist is also a good site BUT if you meet and do the transactions, for tickets per se, and they're fake there's no money back guarantee. Ebay uses Paypal which allows you to get your money back, if you report it, and the item listed is not the same as you received.
craigslist.org
Traveling really isn't that hard or expensive if you use your available resources :) I'll go into those side trips in Cali on another post.
The travelin' crew!
(the random acquantance friend was annoying the whole time so he will not be featured in my blog :) )
The world is a book and those who do not travel only read a page
xoxo CRiCH
