Frequent Flyer
Mornin'! Right now I'd like to talk about FLYING. Besides the time when I drove 2 and a half days across the country for experience, I actually do like flying. Finding affordable tickets can sometimes be hectic. I've bought tickets weeks in advance and as late as one day before the flight. I'd say those times are the best to buy. I decided to push booking that flight to the back of my To Do List but I'm usually never that risky when it comes to my travel plans.
The Real Cheap Tickets:
- www.cheapoair.com - the name says it all! They really have the cheapest tickets
- www.cheaptickets.com - They're also pretty good.
- www.orbitz.com - Last resort, but better than the others not included on this list.
Favorite Airlines :
When I'm only traveling the East coast, my favorite is Southwest. Why? BAGS FLY FREE! But not only that, I've never had a bad experience and their ticket costs are usually reasonable.
My next favorite is Delta Airlines. Yep you got it, for the TVs and Movies! They really impressed me on my trip to Hawaii when had a setting that told you right where we were flying over; it was a map and had a plane symbolizing where we were and a timer showing how many hours left. Now, these stewards & stewardess' are smart cause they get a break and don't have to deal with, " Where are we?" , "Are we almost there?", "How much longer?". Kudos to Delta.
So those two are really my only favorites but I do seem to always been on U.S. Airlines and Continental Airlines when I have to switch planes. They're alright. They don't give you blankets, boo! But hey, they get you there and back safely (knock on wood) and you get the typical refreshments.
First Class vs. Coach:
Who cares? You're still getting there and back, right? Now if your company is sending you somewhere for business and is paying for your ticket, most case for business in 1st class, then go for it. Otherwise, I think it's unnecessary.
Side bar - On my favorite radio station, the other day, they were saying 1st class is one of the Top 10 places to find a single millionaire. HA! So if that's what you're lookin' for, might wanna splurge? :P
As for me, I'll take my comfy coach seat sans complimentary pillow, better food selection, and better service, and sleep til I arrive my destination :)
The world is a book and those who do not travel only read a page
